URGENT: Animals in Maryland Need Your Voice

Contact your state delegate today to help lab animals! The MD House of Delegates is scheduled to vote on HB 611 – Prohibition on Testing Cosmetics on Animals – this Tuesday, February 16, and it needs support from animal lovers like you to get moving.

Enactment of the Prohibition on Testing Cosmetics on Animals would prohibit a person from conducting animal testing in the development of a cosmetic starting January 1, 2022, and would also prohibit the sale of cosmetics that were manufactured using animal testing beginning July 1, 2022.

  1. Please call your state Senator and Delegate and ask them to vote “YES” on the Prohibition on Testing Cosmetics on Animals bill.
  2. Help spread the word! Share this page with your network.

The passage of this bill in Maryland would make the state the fourth in the country to enact such legislation and would greatly bolster the effort to pass this type of legislation at the federal level.

But, this can’t happen without people like you who are willing to make their voices heard on behalf of animals. Please call your state legislators TODAY to help get this legislation over the finish line. Thank you for your urgent action on this important animal protection legislation.
